GROUP LEADER: Bernie Maltby
The Art Appreciation group meets on the 4th Monday of the month in the assembly rooms at the town hall.
The programme for the coming autumn/winter is as follows:
21st December – Christmas Party! Sue Tovey and Robina will talk about their interest in textiles.
25th January 2027 – we will welcome David Evans to tell us about one of his favourite artists, John Constable
22nd February – we look forward to our member Richard Trendall continuing his story about the life of Picasso and his influence on the art world.
22nd March – Gail Brown is booked for her second talk which is yet to be decided.
There is still space for you to request a speaker for 26th April!
You do not need to be good at art to enjoy our sessions. We learn about a variety of arts and crafts and often feature local artists in our programme. The September meeting will be free entry and new members are welcome as there is plenty of room.
Doors open at 9.45 am when free coffee is served in the bar. The session starts at 10.15 am and finishes at around 11.30am. (Usual entry fee is £5.)
