We meet every Friday in the Sports Club Car Park, just off London Road, at 9.20 am and share cars to the start of the walk. Those living near a particular walk can go there directly. Walks are between 4 and 6 miles long with a coffee break around half way and maybe a lunch stop on longer walks (we may even stop off for a pub lunch!).
The Friday Walkers walk 15th March 2024 was from the water tower near Tilshead, a leisurely 4 miles. Members wore something ‘funny for money’ and three prizes were awarded. We raised £160.00 for Comic Relief. Some members made home made cakes for the coffee stop, which were very well received.
An excellent walk, with good company, and many laughs.
