Hughenden Manor

Tuesday 13th October

Hughenden was the country home of Victorian statesman Benjamin Disraeli and provided a backdrop for political drama, royal visits plus an enduring love story.  It was also the base for a top-secret operation during World War 2. There are extensive grounds with formal gardens, an apple orchard and a walled garden, as well as exhibition of Britain’s 1875 Arctic expedition, marking its 150th anniversary, so lots to see. See the website hughenden@nationaltrust.org.uk for more details.
The cost will be £22 for National Trust members and £39.10 for non members.  We will leave from the Station Road car park at 9.00am and leave to return at 4.00pm.
