John was a navigator in the RAF for over 30 years then had a second career as a computer programmer. He is known in his family as ‘Gadget Man’ for his love of technology. He joined the U3A in 2003 and has been on the committee for 11 years serving in various capacities as chairman, vice-chairman, newsletter editor and data manager. He currently runs the Wednesday Walkers group and helps run the iPad User Group and Windows Computer Group as well as being a member of the Aviation Group.
