Play Reading 1

1st Wednesday

Leader’s home

Leader: Nina Woolrych
At 14:00
We have room for one more member in this group.
We read a wide range of plays: some classical, some modern, some lighthearted and some serious. We often read plays which could be classed as literature.
Since September 2019 we have read ‘Present Laughter’ by Noel Coward and ‘Lady Windemere’s Fan’ by Oscar Wilde. We have just finished reading ‘Pygmalion’ by GB Shaw.
The leader suggests that during this coronavirus epidemic you read Twelfth Night.
Comments by the Leader:
I  am really sorry that I could not restart this group. The books are all at my house and it was not possible to distribute them. Also I knew that some members of the group would not be able to use Zoom.
The group is too big to accommodate safely in my garden, so we will have to wait until we are able to meet in my home. Hopefully we will all have had both doses of vaccine by the Summer and will be allowed to congregate inside. I have managed to contact most people, but please feel free to contact me (phone or email) if you want to discuss anything.
When we restart, we will be able to accommodate new members.
